Hein Koh on Feminism, Pregnancy and Motherhood
Can women have it all? What does that even mean? Don’t men suffer the same anxieties, pressures and constrains that women do? These questions and all their variants have plagued and informed a very uneven cultural dialogue, impairing and twisting gender dynamics for as long as I can remember.
I sat down with Hein Koh, a Brooklyn-based artist, Yale MFA, Dartmouth undergrad, wife, and mother of twin daughters, to discuss feminism, pregnancy and motherhood in the context of her latest show “Splendor in the Grass” at Marvin Gardens in Ridgewood which runs until June 3rd.
