Maria Brito is an award-winning New York-based contemporary art advisor, creative designer, author and curator. A Harvard grad, originally from Venezuela, Maria has built art collections of prominent CEOs, celebrities, entrepreneurs and fashion executive sharing her knowledge and creativity with them to turn her clients into meaningful art collectors.
In 2013, her best-selling monograph "Out There" published by Pointed Leaf Press, was the recipient of the USA Best Book Awards in both the Art and Design Categories and in 2015 Maria was selected by Complex Magazine as one of the 20 Power Players in the Art World.
In 2016, Maria curated the first show comprised solely of New York-based artists to have ever happened in Greece. “Greek Gotham” was presented at Dio Horia, Mykonos in July and August of 2016. A full-color catalogue with an introduction by Jeffrey Deitch written and designed by Maria to commemorate the exhibition and the launch of Dio Horia’s publishing arm accompanied the exhibition.
